Chadstone Christmas Show 2017 - 2019

THE CHADSTONE CHRISTMAS SHOW WAS CONCEPTUALISED, WRITTEN & PRODUCED BY DISTRICT AGENCY.

The Chadstone Christmas Show elevated the traditional Christmas Show pantomime by incorporating physical theatre, acrobatics, and clowning, and to make the audience active participants in an original Christmas story that both children and adults could enjoy. 

We worked with leading Australian circus and physical theatre directors, choreographers, costume makers, set builders and performers to deliver a show that delighted Chadstone audiences over Christmas.

The story centred on a character we created - Santa’s best toy-making elf, Pickles, who had lost his toy-making magic. Could the audience help him rediscover it in time to save Christmas?

Each year the show would return with the same characters but with new sets and plot lines.

The show was presented over 12 consecutive days in the lead up to Xmas each year. Feedback from many families was that it was the best Christmas show they’d ever seen at Chadstone.

All proceeds from the show were donated to the Starlight Foundation, with thousands of dollars raised each year.
