An unmissable immersive dining experience, Higher Order was a multi-sensory experience of design, performance, and food where scent, sound and taste merged in a culinary adventure.
Featuring a menu by famed chef Scott Pickett, Higher Order took guests on a roving journey through the future of food.
Held on the fifth level of disused Hanover House in Southbank, audiences were treated to eight art installations with matching dishes – step into a giant wooden steamer serving bao buns, consider the issue of food security as you snack on puffed mushroom crackers with avocado and green ants, and collect a miso broth from a vending machine built on the idea of eliminating single use plastics.
Higher Order was held over 6 weeks with two 90 minute sessions per evening, and attracted 6000+ people for an experience of mouth-watering food, stunning installations, and enchanting performance.
Higher Order was a concept developed by District Agency in conjunction with Loose Collective.
